Here is another picture of me taken not by a brilliant man with one of his funky cameras but taken by my webcam last night. It captures the fact that I’m still happy as a pig in muck. I’m not quite on cloud 9 anymore. Possibly cloud 5 or 6. Perhaps it should be cloud 3 or 4 given the tragic events surrounding the end of the game.
Sure, Kilmarnock may have won the cup and Neil Lennon may be gracious in defeat as ever but we should all spare a thought for Killie midfielder Liam Kelly. During one of the highlights of his professional life, his Father suffered a fatal heart attack, right there in the stands while he watched his son.
No matter whether or not you hate football or you just don’t like Killie; the fact of the matter is that no-one should have to go from such a high to such a low in such rapid succession.
It’s not often I dish out the platitudes but I wish Liam & his family all the very best.
